Jeromy Johnson

I’m Jeromy Johnson—a designer, storyteller, and lifelong question-asker who grew up inside tidy religion but eventually ran out of room to breathe. I once preached certainty and defended all the “right” doctrines—until grace undid me. What I found instead was love: wild, untamed, and for everyone.

After years in ministry, I began to see that faith built on fear can’t heal a soul. Slutty Grace was born from my own faith deconstruction and rediscovery, a journey through doubt, loss, and the shocking realization that love is bigger than belief.

Now I speak not as an expert, but as a fellow wanderer. My work explores Christian universalism, progressive Christianity, spiritual healing, and radical inclusion—a God who shows up for saints and screw-ups, doubters and believers, the broken and the whole.

Chris Jorgensen

Chris Jorgensen is the Lead Pastor of Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church in Omaha, Nebraska. She was honored and excited to be HPUMC’s first female pastor in its over-130-year history! Chris responded to God’s call to ministry and headed from Omaha all the way to Drew Theological School in Madison, New Jersey in 2012. She was ordained in June 2017.

When not tending to her responsibilities  at St. Andrew’s and the digital campus All Saints Online, you can find Chris spending time with her family (daughter Ruby & 3 cats) and friends, watching movies, listening to music & podcasts, and drinking coffee.

Pastor Chris has said, “I want to break down every barrier that might keep someone from encountering the love of God for the first time or growing in their faith. I think that requires making safe space for people to be learn, ask questions, and be their most authentic selves.”

David Artman

Hi, my name is David Artman.

I’m an only child, a husband, a banjo player, a minister, and a Christian universalist.

Putting all this together means that I’m a kind of spoiled, doted upon, pretty eclectic, and can’t shake the idea that God is in the business of finally saving all of God’s lost and wayward children by grace.

After being in pastoral ministry for over 30 years, I am now shifting gears and moving towards writing, blogging, podcasting, and seeing if I can participate in the larger spiritual conversation the world is having right now.

I think the time in which we are living is very chaotic, but also full of potential for making huge spiritual progress.

I’ve just written my first book, Grace Saves All, which is being published by Wipf & Stock, one of my favorite publishing houses.

Jacob Kendall

My journey through life has been shaped by both intellectual curiosity and personal health challenges, providing a unique perspective on aging.

Heart valve disease has run rampant through at least 4 generations of my family – 11 open-heart surgeries total, 3 of them being my own. I also have other complex medical needs and chronic back pain, and I’ve been a caregiver for both of my parents. My personal experiences have run parallel to my professional background, which has crossed multiple disciplines – a PhD in gerontology, along with expertise in social work, public health, biology, theology, and ethics.

Finally, I feed my wide-ranging curiosity through reading (from quantum physics to Edith Wharton), playing music, birdwatching, and exploring the world – 25 countries and counting. I live on Mobile Bay with my wife and our 2 children.

Leslie Nease

I’ve spent over two decades using my voice and words to connect with others—first as a Christian radio host, writer, and speaker, and now as a certified Life & Faith Transitions Coach and podcaster. My journey has taken me from Bible Belt airwaves into the wilderness of deconstruction, and today I walk with people navigating faith shifts and major life transitions with compassion and courage. I host two podcasts, Honoring the Journey and Beyond the Torch, and wrote Honoring the Journey: The Deconstruction of Sister Christian. I’ve also taught group fitness for 30+ years. Many first met me as “Sister Christian” on Survivor: China; now I serve as a kind of trail guide at dawn, helping others adjust to new light and find a more loving, spacious path forward.

As the author of Faith Funk: How to Break Free from Toxic Religion and Reboot a Healthy Spirituality, he gives voice to those untangling from religious control and searching for an authentic connection with the Divine. Through coaching, writing, and his workshops, Michael guides others to rebuild a spirituality grounded not in dogma, but in love, self-awareness, and the radical empathy of Jesus. Steve White

Steve is a former evangelical pastor with an MDiv from Denver Seminary who now finds himself standing outside the walls of organized religion, convinced that the ocean of grace will one day consume us all. About ten years ago, he began deconstructing his faith, losing friends, family, and the community he once served. But through the heartbreak, Steve discovered a bigger gospel—one where the ocean of grace consumes us all. He jokes that he’s “a woman-at-the-well kind of deal”—raw, real, still thirsty for truth.
